For The Creative Who’s Pretty Rad
Part fifteen: Bother us with your brilliance: your art, your weird, your “too out there” ideas—your disruptions to the status quo
When I started this series in January, I didn’t realize I’d have so much to share about making and sharing the things that are meaningful to us and all the reasons we don’t.
It’s a lot of reasons, y’all. I could keep going…
But I’m going to wind it down for now. So today, I want to take some space to honor and celebrate you 🎉. For making any amount of time to make your art, to incubate your ideas, to develop your body of work—even if it feels like you haven't spent enough time on it.
For sharing your art, your weird, your “too out there” ideas, your disruptions to the status quo—even if it’s not as consistently or as loudly or as steadily as you’d like.
It’s not always easy to make space to create the things that are meaningful to us.
And then sharing them?
Where people can judge them as frivolous, annoying, too weird…Whew!
Too many of us never pause to acknowledge and celebrate ourselves when we do challenging things. We may even judge them as too small or not important enough to celebrate.
So, I’m inviting you to pause and honor how rad you are.
🧐 What’s one thing you’ve created this year that you’re really proud of? Bother us with it in the comments. Full encouragement to toot your horn. Links welcome.
Until next time,
Ryn

I've been writing! Developed a framework that I'm too scared to sell because I'm not really sure if anyone gets it but I'm celebrating nonetheless!!
I’ve been creating goddess sculptures, inspired by my ancestors’ Judean pillar figurines. I call this work #bringinggoddessback and it’s felt so good!
