passions charge ahead beleaguered souls stand steady hope climbs a mountain
I wrote this during one of
recent Tarot Journaling Meetups (that’s a link to the recording—it’s a paid post, but if you're into tarot, the meetups are a great weekly reminder to get out your cards!)I haven’t attempted a haiku since maybe grade school, but I felt joy bubbling as I poured what I saw in the cards into the syllable structure. The joy got an extra boost from the deck I’m currently using—the too cute Paws Tarot.
Life has been a lot to handle for a while now. Maybe you're experiencing that too?
One of the ways I’m tending to myself during this Period of Prolonged A Lot-ness is practicing allowing myself to luxuriate in light-heartedness. I even have a bright green post-it above my computer monitor with the words "prioritize DELIGHT” because it’s easy for me to fall into being too serious and productivity-focused.
Until next time,
Ryn
The Creative Courage Project is an invitation to live the life you want—not the one you should—admist the external (and internal) pressure to always be palatable, productive, and profitable. Know someone who’d love it?
