Unearth *your* Creative, Courageous Dreams
Part two: Bother us with your brilliance: your art, your weird, your “too out there” ideas—your disruptions to the status quo
In this space, we practice allowing ourselves to dream BIG. Because if we don’t name what we really want and allow ourselves to feel the possibility of it, it’s really hard to find time or energy to move toward it.
(We’re currently exploring how to share our creative ideas more swiftly, steadily, and playfully alongside the doubts, the fears, the lack of clarity. If you missed part one: “for the love of everything, annoy us”, read it here)
What if you don’t know what it is you really want to create and share?
The specific creative contribution you want to make, that “I could never do that…(could I ?)” dream. Maybe it’s just a nebulous feeling right now.
In my work of helping folks develop and share their most meaningful work—on their terms, we spend a good amount of time rooting into their long-term intentions and vision before we get to strategy or action taking.
It’s key to quieting the outer chatter of other people’s opinions and advice. It’s what we return to when shiny new projects threaten our focus.
It’s about making space to hear the quiet voice that's been telling you to put brush to canvas, compose words on the blank page, or innovate in your business—to reflect on what you’re doing with your limited time on this orb spinning in the vastness of space.
But it can be hard to coax our dreams out.
Sometimes it’s easier to start with where we are and what’s not working. Most of us know what we don’t want. I’ve got some questions (and polls) below to help you reflect and also to help me to support you this year.
In 2025, I intend to use this newsletter to explore how we use the energy of marvel, delight, exploration, dreaming BIG to make meaningful moves in our businesses, our jobs, our lives alongside the persistent efforts to keep us small and compliant with doom and despair.
First, let’s orient to what’s happening now…
And next, here are some more prompts for reflection.
You can use these for internal reflection or share your responses in the comments.
How would you describe what’s happening now around letting your creative self lead?
What do you wish was happening?
Where in your life are you already BEing your creative, courageous self?
How does it feel when you honor your creativity? And how does it feel when you don’t?
Now…What do you really want for yourself in 2025? Is the vision clearer?
Next time, we’ll explore what to do if you feel too exhausted or busy to create.
Until then,
Ryn
