What delights you?
even now
Back in November, I felt Bother Us With Your Brilliance bubbling out of me, insistent. Something similar happened in 2020…
Because the people with the most rubbish ideas about living—how to co-exist with other beings and the planet—always seem to be the loudest and the most certain about themselves. I wanna hear about all the gems that get judged as too weird or silly or annoying before they can exit our mouths.
That’s not easy in a world where violence is a regular response to people and ideas that disrupt that status quo.
But y’all have been doing it! Check out the brilliance folks have shared in the comments here.
And one of the things I share about in this newsletter space is that here…
…we practice allowing ourselves to marvel, delight, create, explore—to dream BIG—amidst the very real circumstances that try to resign us to despair. I wonder if that’s the “how”? As in how we do the hard thing without having to push ourselves so hard.
So I’d be delighted if you took 30 seconds to share in the comments one thing that makes you feel joy, delight, awe, reverence, or wonder—even now. Because joy grows when shared. I’ll go first!
Until next time,
Ryn
If you could use regular invitations to shift your perspective from being certain this is it to wondering what could be, The Creative Courage Project is for you:

I’m absolutely delighted by the way my cat, Jack, will chase the sunlight reflected off my wife’s watch as she moves, as if he thinks today might be the day he catches it. It never fails to make me smile.
I am delighted with the cardinals that visit us each day here in our neighbourhood. And their song, that my partner put word to: “here we go, here we go, here we go!” It feels like they’re watching, and cheering us on.
