I love love love painting with watercolor! As someone who has often found safety in being “good” at things, there’s something about the unpredictability of the medium that feels so nourishing, healing even.
Learning American Sign Language. I’ve plateaued recently but even when I feel discomfort with it I still get pleasure from using it and knowing I’m part of making the world more accessible by learning it.
Playing violin! I wanted to learn when I was 14 years old (my parents even gifted me a violin for Christmas that year), but I didn’t start taking lessons until I was 28. I haven’t played very consistently the past few years, but I play regularly in my mind especially when I’m listening to music.
I love playing the piano. I love how it gives me insight into how my brain learns - I feel like I can actually "see" myself learning as I practice a piece (or a measure!). It's also one of the ways I've learned to stop feeling like I have to be "good" before I can do it in public (which actually just means in front of my kiddo and spouse, but even that took work).

Oh! I love this! The pleasure of as they say 'being the change you want to see'

Oh wow! I love that it's something that's stuck with you even when you haven't been able to get the violin out and play.

That's so cool! I didn't know you were musically talented!
